Physician Bios
Todd Johnston, MD

Dr. Todd Johnston received his medical degree from Wake Forest University in 1995. He then completed an internship at Harvard's Cambridge Hospital and went on to complete a residency at the University of Alabama - Birmingham where he was Chief Resident in his final year. After completing a two year corneal transplant and refractive surgery fellowship at the Doheny Eye Institute at the University of Southern California, he became the Chief of Ophthalmology and Refractive Surgery at the United States Air Force Academy for four years. At the Air Force Academy, Dr. Johnston treated over two thousand active duty patients with corrective laser eye surgery, including many cadets who went on to become pilots. He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force this summer as a Lieutenant Colonel and joins the Valley Medical Center as a cornea and cataract specialist.
Michael S. Solomon, DO

Dr. Michael S. Solomon received his medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his residency and internship at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan and a research fellowship in refractive surgery at the Colorado Eye Institute. Dr. Solomon has been board certified for over ten years, and has served as an assistant clinical professor at Michigan State University. He holds a number of academic and committee appointments. Among his many awards and honors is the Presidential Achievement Award from the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology in 1997.

Directions
We are located on the north side of the Valley Medical Center campus on the first floor of the Valley Professional Center North building. From Talbot Road South, enter at the sign for Valley Professional Center North. Plenty of free parking is available at the surface lots or at the parking garage just west of our offices.
Valley Medical Center is located just east of Hwy 167 at the intersection of SW 43rd Street and Talbot Road South. For more detailed directions to VMC and maps of the campus and hospital floor plans, click here.
